UPDATE OCTOBER 6, 2008 -- OPEN WIDE THE JAWS

The Republicans are throwing the election to the Democrats like it was a flaming bobcat on meth. I shudder to contemplate what might be left of the economy by January. I repeat that this is all good. It is leaving functioning infrastructure intact. But the speed with this is unravelling has made me worry about the possibility of civil unrest before the election. I do not think it likely, but it is remotely possible. Civil unrest before the election -- if serious enough --might give Bush the pretext to go CoG. CoG means continuity of government and the suspension of virtually every right we thought we had. Simple mathematics argues against this likelihood however. There are nowhere near enough troops inside the country to impose martial law. The military is stretched beyond belief and the combat veterans are worn out from multiple deployments and Stop Gap. The soldiers and Marines are not in a good mood. They want to go home to take care of their families. Martial law won't fly; not with 270 million firearms in private hands. Hell, probably two thirds of all law enforcement personnel in the country have just seen their pensions cut in half or worse.

I think about the martial law possibility about the same way that I have always viewed the likelihood of a U.S. attack on Iran. It isn't going to happen. And just as with a U.S. attack on Iran, the consequences could possibly be world-ending. So if civil unrest really does occur, then stand back and get out of the way because it might not be predictable or controllable. Chaos is a great way to escape from a crowded murder scene. Start a ballroom brawl so that the sheriff is too distracted to round up a posse.

What did we see today? Exactly what I anticipated. The global markets are melting down and we need to wait just a short time before the tsunami travels all the way around the world and lands back here again. There is so much great history if one studies the Great Depression. That map seems to be working here, except faster and with harder hitting shocks. Ain't progress grand?

CITIGROUP

A very short clock is totally on the side of Wells Fargo. The value of Wachovia evaporates every day as depositors close accounts in panic. Citigroup is hoping to avert its death by getting its hands on those deposits. When minutes matter, both sides have agreed to suspend litigation until Wednesday; litigation which had Citi lawyers banging at a Connecticut judge's front door on a weekend. Now let me see: Wells Fargo is a California company; Citigroup is New York and Wachovia is in North Carolina. Does that sound like a Supreme Court case to you?

If this litigates, both Wachovia and Citigroup are doomed. Wachovia becomes worthless and Citigroup implodes. I have written much about Citigroup and its alliances and history. It's on the web site. For this and all discussions I will assume that you, the reader, have read Crossing the Rubicon, much of the FTW site, and seen my videos "Truth and Lies of 9-11", "Denial Stops Here", and "The Paradigm is the Enemy". If you haven't, you should. Not only will that answer almost all of the questions I see appearing on this blog. It will give you answers to questions you haven't even asked yet. Rubicon is moving back up the Amazon best-seller list. Consider that Amazon ranks well over 400,000 books we're doing great. "Rubicon" has been at or near the #1 spot in Public Affairs/Administration all year.

Post Script

Now that the crisis has taken a global hold I suspect that we will see George Soros moving in the currency markets. How is anybody's guess and I won't have time to follow it. I have a great books that's almost finished.

For God's sake buy gold! Do it now.

All of this has been planned for years.. I warned you it was coming. What I want now is for all of you to read the same map I am reading --the one that I and the people at FTW made -- and to move it forward together. No one is as smart as all of us. Not even Rice Farmer. --;-)

There are rumors about another false flag event on the net, as if the collapse of the economy is not enough.

My hope is that the PTB can't control things the way they want, and we get the fast crash, and then begin to rebuild without too much interference. I hope as well that we will keep the internet.

I am prepared. Because of you, Mike and FTW, we might just make it. I have hope. I am certain that all of us know the score, and that we help each other through this.

Be safe and well, Mike, you are important to us!! When do you expect the book to some out?

I saw a Lyndon LaRouche talking about that it is a way out of this
but that we must act NOW..

Any coment on that ??

Absolutely true! And that's why I am working hard at building a community here, and why I urge everyone to follow MCR's advice and build communities of your own. Time is short. Act now.

people i have conversation with have little idea what a national emer is or what rights they lose when one gets declared (many even equate it with the colored terrorst alerts implemented after 9 2001 - so i wonder if it couldn't be declared and then implemented in stages so the masses wouldn't understand what is happening - my first comment 'disappeared' with a funny noise so this is an edited post since i couldn't recreate it and i want to see if this one will go through

It's great to be participating with a group of people who really "get it" in this Blog. And with really tough times awaiting us now on our doorstep, it's great having MCR back again to lead the way.

Congrats on your making the front page, Rice Farmer!

Mike, check out this article from the Army Times:

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_homeland_090708w/

It states that the military has started touring domestically (since Oct.1).
"They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack."

Maybe this collapse needs to happen soon.

Is it any coincidence that as the economy is collapsing in the US, the Russians are expanding their influence in Latin America (Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, Columbia), Asia (South Korea, China, India) and Africa (Somalia)? It is also interesting to see that Russia and Venezuela are having their war games around the same time as the US election.

So, where would be a good place to buy gold from? Michael Ruppert and Catherine Austin Fitts are pretty much the only two people I trust on the matter, and from what I've read in the last few days they seem to have differing opinions on whether or not "digital gold" should be purchased.

I found goldmoney.com through Catherine's site solari.com. Is that a good place to buy through or should I try somewhere else?

I should have done this years ago but it's like i didn't believe it could actually happen, lol.

Bernanke helped produce another classic today, another Quotable Quote that is.

"Crisis could prolong economic pain"

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/081007/bernanke_economy.html

no fair sound-biting him, "the financial crisis has not only darkened the country's current economic performance but also could prolong the pain" is the actual quote.

that reminds me of my own Ridgmont Times high school years and a friend who said, "the more i eat, the less hungry i get."

the more blood the patient loses, the bigger the blood transfusion the patient needs.

i welcome honest journalism, so the Dow falling is like, it's finally getting honest, as manipulated as it is.

that was one of the reasons FTW was so welcome - plain old honest journalism.

A few days past, I picked up an order placed almost three months ago. Although prices are reasonable, The dealer will no longer accept orders. The only available small volume purchase of precious metals I found were for 1000 Troy Ounce Silver Bars.

Check your local coin shops for precious metals as well as the online shops. They'll usually have something on hand, even if it's just old 90% silver US coins (a good way to hold silver as it's widely recognized and cheap to get into). For small purchases you'll usually do better locally because you don't have to pay for insurance on the delivery (my online orders typically have at least $20 in insurance).

Once you buy gold, where do you keep it? If banks are not safe I do not want to use a safe deposit box. I'm not a homeowner.
All suggestions appreciated!

Through reading many of MCR's articles I found out you should NOT buy paper gold, and I am sure this equates to "Digital Gold" too, the reason for this is that there is more "paper gold" then there is actual physical gold out there. I am buying my gold from www.nwtmint.com which is a link I got from jenna orkin in her post here https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=22903415&postID=193373259697617092 scroll down to the second comment, you will see Jenna's recommendation.

MCR hey I am buying your book today, I am sorry I did not do so sooner. I need help convincing my neighbors, how do I do this without coming across as a complete nut and them turning me off in the first 5 seconds of me talking to them. You MCR don't come across that way I wish I was a good detective like you. Maybe I will just lend out your book for them to read, if they do that is.

I wish I had some help here.. Im not a very good public speaker.

Great info as usual! We've been paying for the training of assault troops for years, indeed one ancillary purpose of all of the wars we've been funding is this training. It is simply a matter of logistics, get the Israeli, Afgani and other troops we've been training over here and let them loose. I

'm going to be very surprised if we have an election, however with the systemic vote fraud that is institutional in our voting systems, this game can be rigged in many ways.

Think of government as a big casino and then imagine how you might rig the game to your favor. Then try thinking of financial systems as a big casino that you can rig, with your accomplices in government helping you.

The fix is indeed in and the consequences might be far worse than we expect. Just at the catastrophic cascade effect of global warming has created a domino effect the is racing at a speed faster than all worst predictions, so might our system of finances provide unexpected and rapid failure(s).

What will we do when our payroll checks can not be cashed? Are we prepared to be herded into public buildings through manufactured civil emergencies?

The sky's the limit, as the historic battle between landowner and serf continues.

keep your seeds dry!

If you're going to think black ops, at least learn to think big. 9/11 should have at least taught us that.
