MCR's Computer Down

He says there's a power supply/motherboard failure and he doesn't have the money for a big repair right now. All his money is going for rent. Anyone who'd like to help out can contribute via Paypal. The email address is mcrfinaid@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Jenna,

Can one also just mail him a personal check? Doesn't Paypal take cut?

Thanks!

Jenna,

Nevermind--I scrolled down back to Nov or Dec 09 and found it.

Thanks for all you two do!

Stuart

PS. Do you ever accept donations for your work?

Alright fellow Mike Ruppert fans, we have him where we want him. I am willing to send him a $56 check today if he commits to having a weekly 1 hour podcast on current events, book reviews, and guest experts. He can use the money to fix his computer and help pay his rent, legal fees, and I suppose food. $56 works out to a dollar per weekly podcast for the year.

Remove your hard drive(s) before bringing the computer to the repair shop. (To prevent snooping around and/or copying of your files)

No Jenna news update?

More on Greek-Russian negotiations.

The front topic is energy. The back story is debt. The story accurately described the talks as talks on "strategic relations".

Hello Mr. Ruppert,

My name is James Dudley. I've been a member of the NYPD for almost 13 years now.

I narrowly survived the 9-11 attacks and somehow found you in approximately 2004

while doing my own research on the subject. I've been a follower of yours ever since.

I can't thank you enough for what you've done and continue to do, but I think I can help you with your computer issues. I happen to build computers and I'd be happy to put

one together for you and ship it to you.

I can build it tonight (I'm currently doing a 4x12 in the 79precinct) and ship it sometime tomorrow.

My phone number is 917-362-2914. Please feel free to reach out to me.

It's the least I can do,

James Dudley

I have a tower that could be fully functional with the only thing missing being a hard drive. Have no use for it and could donate it. I would even cover the shipping if you gave me an address. I can supply a list of components included if you are interested. Let me know if I can help!

Mike, if you need to access data/documents from the hard drive, pull it and get an external drive enclosure (cheap, about $20?) and then you can hook it to another pc, or a laptop and get to your docs and other data, like bookmarks, etc.
Should be able to keep you running until yo can get another pc/laptop.

MCR I sent you an email about an old G4 computer of mine that you can have if you want it. I was also inquiring on what it would take monetarily to get you out to my city (Tucson, AZ) for a screening of Collapse and a Q&A session. I have access to a large cinema that does Q&A screenings a lot and is considered the best theater in town. We (Tucson) just got signed up as a transition town and the timing might be perfect for us. Thanks for all the work you have done it has changed my life.

Coincidentally my dad's old laptop had its LCD screen crap out on him a few days ago. I took it to a computer repair place and they confirmed it was a display issue but showed me that if hooked up to a regular monitor, it could still function just fine as a makeshift desktop. Not practical for me, but Mike could conceivably plug it into his existing monitor.
Unfortunately, I'm unemployed right now and wouldn't have an easy way to send it to Mike. :(

Hi Mike,

Can't offer any computer bits or even advice - becoming a computer whizz never high on my priority list.
So glad that the many who blog here, including yourself and Jenna, are computer literate. Each to his own I guess.
So failing that kind of assistance, money on its way.
Can't have you silenced for a ha'porth of tar.

Power supply and motherboard? Might as well get a new machine and use the old hard-drive. I'd do the work myself for free but I'm probably 1000 miles away or so. Unfortunately, I get paid once a month, and therefore am only not broke once a month. However for a copy of collapse and if he ran some podcasts I'd donate $50 toward the cause when I get paid on the 19th.
