Drop in Oil Output At Mexico's Cantarell May Pressure Prices
I don't have a WSJ subscription, but the preview says, "The virtual collapse at Cantarell -- the world's second biggest oilfield at the start of last year -- is unfolding much faster than projections from Mexico's state-run oil giant Petroleos Mexicanos, or Pemex.' Rice Farmer

This Cheney interview tells us more about the worthlessness of the interviewer and the abject subservience of the mainstream media than anything else.
Rice Farmer - the WSJ article is interesting. The entire article is available free at http://www.rigzone.com/news/article.asp?a_id=40538
and is well worth the read.
Here in Japan, Tepco (Tokyo Electric) is testing crude oil from Vietnam in its Kashima (my fair city) plant. They are looking to replace Indonesian oil, production of which as we all know is down. The article avoids "peak oil" and blames a "lack of foreign investment" for Indonesia declining production.

Here is an excellent website for kids which has information and activities to teach them about developing environmentally friendly, sustainable life styles. It is presented by "Japan for Sustainability" (www.japanfs.org) but is written in English. Great resource for teachers and parents everywhere:

Pandabonium -- thanks for directing me to that WSJ article. Real bad news for Mexico, indeed.
I read Empire of Debt-- It was shocking to find out that the dollar has devalued by a factor of 20 over the past 100 years. Cumulative inflation is government taxation on all in the dollar economy...
