Quote of the day:
So you see, dear reader, how deliciously the plot turns? In the bubble years, the bankers ripped off the public...pretending to make them rich, of course...while the regulators looked the other way. Now, the politicians create a distraction, pretending to punish the bankers, while together they pick the public’s pocket for $3 or $4 trillion more. The bankers are judged guilty; but the audience hangs.

Karl Denninger reported this evening:

RED ALERT: FX Dislocation In Process

"I do not know what is going on here, and I don't think I want to.

"Someone, apparently someone in Asia, wants dollars. A LOT of dollars. There is a forced-liquidation event underway that is massive, it is against all asset classes and it is spreading.

"It originated at approximately 7:15 CT this evening and originated out of Asia somewhere. All of the primary currency crosses got hit at once - Euro, Pound, Yen - all weakened dramatically against the dollar and it is still going on. The Asian stock markets got walloped at the same time in coordinated waves of forced selling.

"At the same time the US futures markets got nailed as well, down some six handles on the /ES in a near-vertical drop. While this sounds "not that big" to move these markets in a coordinated fashion like this is a trillion-dollar enterprise - this is not some small company that went bankrupt, or even a large company.

"There is no news coverage at the present time identifying the source of this but it is not small and contrary to some reports it is not "automatic selling"; this is forced liquidation."

Ecosutra, & Tim, plus others interested in options

My Grandmother was raised on a Houseboat in Friesland; around 1900,
she could recall the "boats" being 3 or 4 deep along the canal, they were not mobile
they just moved up and down with the water, being frozen in in the winter.
They stored perishables on the upper floors, they had 2 Goats which lived on the boat
with them, so it had to have been quite large, with 6 children!
Their land was on the "polder"; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polder
Most travel was by boat on the canals, they crossed the smaller canals, & fences by
means of Stiles; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ranaghan_Stile_MII.jpg
The land then was reserved for crops, not housing, and/or roads, with their contamination!
Remember this was before Oil, cars, trucks or tractors, recall pictures of the Dutch farms,
only canals & windmills.
I remember traveling to Florida in Dec. of 1956, driving through several areas where homes
were raised above the ground, some by 3'. I later learned they were in a "flood plane", it
was their "insurance". From the looks of the areas, it was the best they could afford.

In many areas of the world Crops are stored in trees, or otherwise above ground to allow
the passage of water or animals. We are entering a new era, think outside the box!!

Vaguely relating to the Afghan stories posted by Jenna:

These two stories about “future is now” appeared in the Taipei Times today. But they could have been one story. This is what can be done to people who don't play by the rules:

US uses unmanned drones to hunt pirates off Somalia

AND

Deadly drones in Pakistan

“One missile fired by a suspected US drone destroyed the Taliban center,” a top Pakistani security official said.

“Eighteen people, including militants, died in this attack according to information from the local area,” said a second security official, who earlier put the death toll at 12.

They’re just evil, brown-skinned Moslems, anyway. Our government would never try this in North America. I have earlier posted a link to the Zephyr, a solar drone tested recently by George Tenet’s company, QinetiQ, which can stay aloft “indefinitely”. The recommended use is for permanent city surveillance.

Yes, the Divine Reality is all there Is and the manifestation (creation,as you call it) of this Earth is evolving. Why all the suffering in the first place? Because the ego's free will chooses to live with fear, war, competition. We could just as easily choose the opposite, but we don't.....yet.

“Back in February 2006, LEAP/E2020 estimated that the global systemic crisis would unfold in 4 main structural phases: trigger, acceleration, impact and decanting phases. This process enabled us to properly anticipate events until now. However our team has now come to the conclusion that, due to the global leaders’ incapacity to fully realize the scope of the ongoing crisis (made obvious by their determination to cure the consequences rather than the causes of this crisis), the global systemic crisis will enter a fifth phase in the fourth quarter of 2009, a phase of global geopolitical dislocation.

According to LEAP/E2020, this new stage of the crisis will be shaped by two major processes happening in two parallel sequences:

A. Two major processes:
1. Disappearance of the financial base (Dollar & Debt) all over the world
2. Fragmentation of the interests of the global system’s big players and blocks"

Meanwhile back at the ranch, the supply of gold and silver coins is drying up. There is practically nothing left on Ebay at any reasonable price, unless you want foreign or commemorative coins. Prices have gone up roughly 40% in this common man's marketplace over the last few months. The scalpers are still there with ever-larger markups. Auctions for non-silver coins written to look like they are 90% and single coins made to look like they are rolls. I've had several experiences where people are posting fraud auctions for coins they don't even own. They collect the money and either send nothing or send empty boxes and claim innocence on their end. Thank God for Paypal's insurance program. Really a reflection of how desperate things are getting.

On another note,I paid my house off nearly 5 years ago, but still don't have solid roof I own the place free and clear. The bank says it keeps the original deed, which is illegal, at least in our state. They send out xerox copies of the original loan papers without original signatures as proof. I have a lawyer working on this and the bank is stalling getting back to him. My property has rental property attached to it. Any possibility the banks are planning to steal any rental property they can (claiming there are unpaid liens, taxes, etc. as a ploy) as a backup source of revenue once everything else falls apart? Why would the banks, who already have tons of foreclosed property on their hands want to keep the legitimately paid for property? I wonder how many other people they are doing this to.

Meanwhile again it appears that 99.99% of the populace are still in total denial about what is going on around them as far as the meltdown goes. Co-workers are still sending their kids on week-long trips to exotic locations and getting new SUV's. When I try to explain that the economy is collapsing and that preparations must be made, I get funny looks and replies that everything will be okay in a few months. Makes me feel like I am living some kind of bad dream that I never wake up from.

Although viewed and worded from somewhat variant personalized perspectives, we're indeed looking at the exact same picture. Indeed: once a critical mass number of us recognize the imperative of getting our intellects out in front of our egos --and do so! -- we're home free! (Sounds simple, doesn't it? Ha!)

#! SOIL PRODUCT
BIO CHAR
Here is the best example of how producing Permaculture bio char is free compared to the commercial pyrolysis technologies.

bio char pyro can be achieved sustainable through layering swales, mulching, and coppas layering the angle of repose. On kilometers of swales you can get the heat of the sun to do the work dishing out soils of bio char from the understory of mulch coppas layering.

Here is a killer website from a new bio char industry that my energy mentor directed me to.
http://www.shimbir.demon.co.uk/biocharrefs.htm

This is it folks. you have your orders. lol Well that and aquaponics. Put them all on your 5 acre demonstration site. You will be the local town hero in 5 years.
For every new green energy technology, I can come up with the competitor in the least technical design. Including Algae bio diesel. So, this is the reality check I am waiting to dish out onto the masses.

Permaculture is so off radar!

http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/20090216_bad_news_from_americas_top_spy/

The above story comes from Truthdig.

"Washington’s new director of national intelligence, retired Adm. Dennis Blair, testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee. He warned that the deepening economic crisis posed perhaps our gravest threat to stability and national security. It could trigger, he said, a return to the “violent extremism” of the 1920s and 1930s."

It will actually be interesting to see if the pampered American people will actually rise up before they actually start getting hungry. Denial is not a river in Egypt!

Events feel like they are accelerating today. Scary how much alarm is being sounded from all over the place. This is stuff I was telling friends 3 years ago and they thought I was wacko and tuned me out like I had the plague.
Reading Rubicon played a big part of being tapped in early on. The roadmap Mike described is playing out before our eyes. I am getting more deliberate in my preparations as I now know the end game is more than likely going to come to fruition. I, unfortunately, do not have one person in my community I can talk to in person on this level. Most people just don't want to hear about preparing for crisis - their brains just close up - they invariably are skeptic -which is why I no longer tell anybody. The emotional/attitudinal preparations are even more important. I do realize that 90% of most peoples' focus goes towards there work,(all the things they must get done), family or looking for work these days.

The link to "the 100 things to go first" was very helpful. When checking out precious metal sites I got the impression there was plenty of physical gold to be had...?

I am now making necessary items when I can to save money.

At this point I can only remain spiritually connected,(or even more so), live life with joy and be of assistance when the time comes. I promise to never say I told you so.

Love to all.

At a meeting last week to set up tomorrow's meet, it was left off at my purchasing a silver certificate. I have since heard a couple of horror stories about certificates, i.e. the bank not being able to redeem.

What's your take? I am leaning towards the quick-and-dirty purchase of the certificate via the bank just to get in, holding the paper value/investment, and then down the road grab the bullion via a broker by selling off the paper.

I'll be happy to continue this conversation with you as long as J.O. "does not close the door". The past tense did'nt mean anything. Sometimes I wonder if we're helping anyone, or just being tolerated. Infinite energy and a trillion tons of gold won't solve our ego's insatiable appetite for destruction. We'll just take merciless advantage of each other as always. I'm guessing that is why our spiritual conversation is ok.

dalex said...

Sebastion: (If I may interject...) Go for the physical; an ounce in hand is worth 2 in the bush (or ETF/certificate). Coins (silver and gold) are already becoming scarce, and premiums (commissions) are much higher that a year ago. The paper-to-physical swap will probably work if done soon -- but like other collapse events, nobody knows for sure when the next door will be slammed shut. (We can only try to be on the right side of it when it happens.) Phone some dealers, and ask them how their supply situation looks; you'll have a better picture then... BTW, good choice going to metals!

RanD said...

Tim--
It's very VERY good to hear you're "happy to continue this conversation... as long as J.O. does not close the door". With that concern being settled, quickly dispense with any ideas of needing to "help" or "save" anyone. Those are but impertinent concerns of the naive human mind and have no genuine value. Fulfillment of such empathic/humane objectives is the prerogative of T ultimate/actual PTB. Simply do not be unkind nor dishonest to anyone. Attempt being nothing more than your human self, and likewise accept everyone else for being who and what she and he is and for what she and he are doing, and that is enough. Nonetheless, also do keep ever foremost in heart &mind your feelings & thoughts of love for your fellow human beings, despite however much some, being themselves, may feel driven to spite you for being who and what or how you are.

Whether ideological friend or foe, looking one's fellow in the eye and standing one's ground while letting him/her have his/hers is ultimately what it's all about. All of us are in this together, being who we are, personally doing what we simultaneously "feel" and "think" our lives have commissioned us to do in accord with the physically embodied spirit-mind that causes each one of us to personally be. All of this, in the end, functions in service to the greatest good, even though only some of us have found or will find the way to know about such things.

As for the "ego", it is but everyone's perfectly natural and utterly necessary self-internalized sense of self-significance, self-value, and self-importance. No living soul (i.e., spirit-mind) can live well or long without a strong & healthy ego. It is thus an imperative of everyone's ego's self-preservation to fully consciously/mentally recognize the equality of all egos, and intelligently conduct ourselves accordingly but NEVER destructively -- if one wishes to not be destroyed. In other words: simply let your intellect be the master of your ego.

Moreover, I assure you there are a significant number of human beings that have absolutely no interest whatsoever in taking "merciless advantage" of anyone or anything, and they are the exclusive humankind ones who will not far to the future be found peacefully and intelligently occupying the Earth.

Indeed, "our spiritual [and intellectual] conversation is ok", and way more than just "ok", as well.

tim said...

RanD;
Great, I agree. Maybe it would be helpfull if I told you a little about my backround so my words make more sense. I have been taught by various Native American Shamen and esoteric Hindus and Buddhists. When I say "ego" I don't mean the traditional psychiatric meaning. I mean "love of self" to the exclusion of "others". I have a pessimistic slant on survival because I believe the Earth changes that many Native Americans teach is very real and will be very destructive. How do you see us peacefully and intelligently occupying the Earth with such changes? I know you understand passing through the galactic center and how destructive that can be. I would also like your opinion of Adam Trombly. Please google him and read "the truth about ZP technology: a wake-up call to the American people". It's about much more than technology.
