A Mike Ruppert Update

A colleague at another website wrote today asking the following question, among others. I answered the other questions but sent this one on to Mike whose response is below.

Query

Here's something I've wondered about for a while. Given the probability of increasing die-outs over the next several decades, and more aging baby boomers dying, there will be an increasing number of estates that go up for grabs, seized or badly gutted by the govt. if families and individuals do not plan legal steps carefully to pass on to family members or charitable causes. If one were to steer people towards ways to contribute money that would fight the criminal system instead of feeding it, what would they be? What would MCR recommend? Too bad FTW is gone...

The entire universe of charities and foundations has been corrupted, making good places harder than ever to find.

Mike Ruppert's response

Very big and very good things happening here. Very fast. Very, very good.

You know, as far as I'm concerned these days I wouldn't trust ANYcharity. That's not becuase I know they're all dirty or compromised. It's because I am just so burned out on trusting anything that's"in-the-system" that I won't take the time to even ponder thequestion.

There is no time left to do anything except get ready.

Get ready.

My health is fully restored (even improved). I have recently come into an inheritance after a two and a half year struggle. About 75% of all of FTW's debts (and mine) are paid in full. The rest will be taken care of soon; including refunds to all FTW subscribers and customers who paid for things they never received. Within the last month, myattorney and I have been to Los Angeles and Ashland.

Ashland proved to be a very loving homecoming.

In Ashland we had an excellent meeting with a detective and intell anylast from the Ashland Police Department. I canot say much except that there's a real possibility that one or more people are going to go to jail over the burglary of June 06. There's a lot more coming on that front.

As for me, Jenna and I are moving to Oregon within the year and we are taking our own advice.

Get ready.

Mike firstly I'm glad to hear you're well and I would like to wish yourself and Jenna all the best in health and happiness for the future.

FTW is a major miss for critical analysis of current events but if we read and review the archives a lot of what has been predicted for several years is now manifesting itself in the current financial and political landscape (the two are inextricably linked). Does Mike have an educated view of how the current crisis will play out and is there any possibility that crises such as these could lead to the US attacking Iran. I am aware that this could exacerbate the US's problems but since when did Cheney listen to reason? War has always been good for stock markets.

Jenna Orkin said...

mike's never believed an attack on iran was a real possibility. on the contrary, he predicted the recent talk of rapprochement as iran controls the straits of hormuz through which a third or more of the world's oil resources pass.

cheney is eminently 'reasonable' in the sense of knowing how to get the results he wants.

Oh joy something to feel good about! This is exciting and happy news! From my experiences of moving long distances, I know how exhausting it can be. I don't think things I've done,(moving from one place to another, or back),can ever be considered mistakes. There's no mistakes it's how you connect to what you really want. There's no rules. The whole planet is ours to discover and get to know our tribe(s), where we can bond with like minds.

Looking at seriously getting ready...which many of us have been trying to do little by little: It's going to be some hard lonely times in the months and years ahead for many of us who cannot get our "tribe" in gear or at least bring them to the circle for some real human grown-up talking on how to deal with what they refuse to acknowledge. Many I see around me are divided, confused on the fake dullusion around them, they want to feel and see only good and will not discuss the approaching storm remaining totally disconnected from reality. Relationships need to be formed and united in survival but virtually hopeless when you can't even get them to the table. It's so painful to be ridiculed and labled a chicken little or told that your negative thoughts are making the world worse.

MCR & Jenna...are the honest, brave, mature angels for standing up for the laws of our land and by helping others who now cannot breathe, (911 fire fighters), and the others in here with their steadfast ernest truth seeking who take a hard but realistic look at our future are an inspiration. It's time for America to grow up.

Your good news makes me feel like throwing confetti and having a little bubbly. Good for you guys and all the best in your travels. I'm sure that this new energy of your bond will radiate to all who love and care about you.

Deano, here´s an article that points to Mike being correct in his analysis of the Iran crisis:

"US diplomacy with Iran is working" - the author´s analysis is that the White house lacks time and patience and therefore might attack Iran even though negotiations are yielding results, but it might very well be that the threatening rethoric of the US is just a way to gain leverage in the negotiations since these, in the end, will include trade deals and transport routes for oil, and other things unrelated to Iran´s nuclear program and support of Iraqi insurgents. I´m not completely sure what to think, though...

Today the Japanese media announced that the Japanese government and trading companies are launching what they call a "resource diplomacy" offensive in a bid to secure supplies of rare metals, crude oil, and other resources. From what I gather, there is a crisis mentality at work here. I hunted around and found a couple of articles in English that help show what is going on here.

Japan to import oil from Venezuela
http://english.eluniversal.com/2007/08/06/en_eco_art_japan-to-import-oil_06A911125.shtml

Japan Eyes Rare Metals Co-production Deal With South Africa
http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7008201275

A vernacular article also told how Japan's strategy in Africa will be to secure oil and minerals through technological cooperation and helping African countries set up their industrial infrastructure (this was, interestingly, contrasted with China's strategy of buying things up).

Anyway, I still think that when push comes to shove, Japan will go to battle with the US.

"BlogSync is a tool that can help you transport posts from different
sources. A source can be a RSS/Atom feed, or a blogger account. With BlogSync, you can do a lot of things, such as maintain a mirror blog without copy all the articles by hand, or restore backuped posts from a RSS file, or move your blog to Blogger but don't need to worry
about all the old posts."

I gotta say, the Oregon Truth Alliance story about terror drills taking place in Portland has me shaking in my boots. Please, if you live in Portland, get the hell out of there for the time being.

"This particular exercise, NOBLE RESOLVE 07-2, includes one scenario involving an unaccounted for, "loose," ten kiloton nuclear weapon, exactly as Vice President Cheney hinted in recent interviews. Department of Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff claims he fears the same."

Not only would this allow them to attack Iran on the basis that their nuclear program was up and running but it would allow them to use nuclear weapons against Iran in the attack.

Anyone else remember the drop in the markets before 9/11? Here we go again.

Martial Law is now a real threat: Declaring the US a battlefield

http://www.counterpunch.com/lindorff07272007.html

The first step, or course, was the first Authorization for Use of Military Force, passed in September 2001, which the president has subsequently used to claim-improperly, but so what? -that the whole world, including the US, is a battlefield in a so-called "War" on Terror, and that he has extra-Constitutional unitary executive powers to ignore laws passed by Congress. As constitutional scholar and former Reagan-era associate deputy attorney general Bruce Fein observes, that one claim, that the US is itself a battlefield, is enough to allow this or some future president to declare martial law, "since you can always declare martial law on a battlefield. All he'd need would be a pretext, like another terrorist attack inside the U.S."

Deano said...

Olauspetri

Thanks for the excerpt. I am aware of Mike's thinking and the rationale behind US rhetoric but a systemic financial collapse is a scenario which would put the US in a desperate situation. At home an attack would deflect the worlds attention away (to some degree) from the crisis while oiling the cogs of the war machine, greasing the palms of the bosses and once more putting fat rearmament and reconstruction contracts in the pockets of US companies. We've seen it happen a few times.

Incidentally I've just allowed myself a half giggle as I watched the Dow dip 340 points and then miraculously climb 325 points to finish flat. The PPT perhaps??? A "free market" and "market forces" is oxymoronic when it goes against those that promote it so vociferously. It often appears to me that those at the top operate in some parallel universe with a language that functions in a back to front, upside down oxymoronic way. They always seem to mean the opposite of what they say. :-)

Mike, I am delighted to hear that you are in good health ! It sounds as if Jenna has been a blessing. Best wishes on your move to Oregon! I also want to thank you thank you for opening my eyes to the issues of peak oil, and 9-11. Best wishes to you both !!

The report below also speaks of what Cuba has done in working through their politically induced peak oil....

The Effects of Peak Oil On Rural Communities...

This is one of those reads that can make one's jaw drop with it's import and implications. I'll say that this report is applicable to every rural community in the Western World. Adapt the basics as needed Locally, and go from there. The truths remain the same.

via A Report Produced for the Groundswell Group, Cornwall, England (PDF)

Summary
Over the next few years, as the price of oil increases and its availability declines dramatically on a global scale, there will be profound and far-reaching effects across society. This report collates information on what has been termed Peak Oil’ both globally and for rural communities and centres on a discussion of the principal areas that will be affected by escalating oil prices.

Although Cornwall has been taken as the focal point, the recommended responses can, and should, be applied to any rural community. Indeed, many of the recommendations have been influenced by the case of Cuba where the country experienced a Peak Oil situation for political rather than geological reasons. A study of the Cuban example can be found at the end of this report.

This report reveals the far-reaching and dramatic impact of Peak Oil on the life and economies of rural settlements. The government will find it increasingly difficult to alleviate the numerous and worsening stresses within local communities from Whitehall. By necessity local communities will have to take greater responsibility themselves for their own future, designing and implementing solutions fashioned by local conditions. This is the time for us to prepare for a uncertain future.

Today's newspaper has a feature article entitled "Scramble for Resources in the Arctic." It recounts recent events (everybody and his dog making claims), and then quotes a researcher at a government research institute who cautions that Japan is "not getting in on the ground floor" of this grabfest, and says that Japan "must actively participate in surveys." So while Japan has no grounds for territorial claims, it probably plans on holding onto the shirttail of the US and getting a share of the spoils.

'What can we share here that will save lives by providing people with choices, experience, strength and hope?'"

Jenna & Mike I need your help. When FTW was attacked in Ashland ending in bankruptcy and closing down in 2006, 4 1/2 years of work that I performed at MENDOFORNIA Town Action Group, hosted by FTW, disappeared as well. MENDOFORNIA TAG received 258,000 pageviews in December 2006 apparently from readers downloading the research I compiled beginning in September 2002 when TAGs first launched. I saved the files from MENDOFORNIA TAG on my computer accessing them as needed until June 11 when my computer crashed and I was unable to sucessfully restore it. I lost not only the 4 1/2 years of research from MENDOFORNIA TAG but also 8 months of research from 'Scholars for 911 Truth' including the files from 'Veterans for 911 Truth' which I co-founded with other veterans at 'Scholars'.
In the late Winter of 2007 my wife, Mary Frances became severly ill from menopausal hormone imbalance and high blood-pressure medication and other influences that led to her suicide on June 25th. She returned home on June 11th, the day our computer crashed. I installed the Sony System Recovery DVD without first seeking professional help so that Mary Frances would have immediate access to the computer the day she arrived home.
I just read that you have recovered your health Mike. I had emailed Jenna this last Winter asking her to seek your help in adding MENDOFORNIA TAG to your FTW site as an archive. I did not receive a response and wrote it off to your incapacitation. I am again seeking a way, under the present circumstances of my demise, to recover the MENDOFORNIA TAG files. I am able to contribute financially if that is necessary.
Upon review, you will find that the MENDOFORNIA TAG research files fulfill completely the statement from you that I posted at the beginning of these comments. I want to continue fulfilling ..."providing people with choices, experience, strength and hope?'"
Is there some way you can help me continue on fulfilling these tasks?
Thank-you for your consideration.

Which suggests to me that Pepe Escobar agrees with MCR on the possibility of a US attack on Iran.

Brazil plans to build ethanol plants in five locations that are meant primarily for exports to Japan, and have them running in something like two and a half years. They will supposedly provide about a million liters/year (couldn't find anything on this in English, or I'd post a URL).

A million liters really is nothing. And shipping that ethanol to Japan from Brazil will consume how much energy and emit how much pollution? Sounds like a bottled water scam to me.

Myanmar arrests dissidents, squashes fuel protests

Yahoo News Story Here

[partial story]
The swoop came ahead of a planned protest on Wednesday against last week's shock hikes in fuel prices, the latest in a rare series of demonstrations against deteriorating living conditions and galloping inflation in the former Burma.

Myanmar has some of Asia's largest natural gas reserves and has just decided to export production of two major fields worth billions of dollars to China.

13 had been arrested for "agitation to cause civil unrest" and "undermining peace and security of the state," charges that could put them in jail for up to 20 years.

"Military intelligence and government intelligence seized their houses and searched their houses," another dissident, Htay Kywe, said in a recording e-mailed to Reuters by Myanmar exile groups in neighboring Thailand.

Government agents had taken papers and mobile phones, added Htay Kywe, who had managed to evade capture during a raid on his home and had gone into hiding, one of the exile groups said.

Coal Dependency Seen Braking China's Climate Drive
http://www.enn.com/top_stories/article/22120

One has to wonder how much longer it will be until China is affected by peak coal. China is the only major coal-producing country which has not revised its reserve figures downward (it still uses 1992 data), so it's highly likely that its reserves are far lower than its published figures suggest. And this will be aggravated by its accelerated coal consumption.
