just a note about the map included in that Zero Hedge article "Fukushima Radiation Has Contaminated The Entire Pacific Ocean"
i first saw that NOAA map associated with an article about fukushima radiation a couple years ago...the map came from one of the original NOAA fukushima warnings and shows the expected height of the tsunami at various spots across the Pacific (the scale is in centimeters)...so while radiation is still leaking from those melted down plants and has to an extent contaminated the whole Pacific, the map has nothing to do with that...since the ZH forte is finance, it's hard to say if they were also fooled by that map when they published that article or not...
It has been said that the solution to pollution is dilution. Fukushima would appear to be the ultimate example of this concept.
it would be a great example if it worked but it isn't.
It isn't? People aren't eating the fish from the ocean, it is so bad? Sailors and ships cannot sail through it, for fear of dying during the voyage from how radiated it is? No one is swimming in the Pacific?
The animals of the sea, they have died and are no more?
Whatever the effects of the Fukishima disaster ultimately are, if you were standing next to it when it happened, you might be dead by now. Whereas diluted, it would appear that most activities and species have not stopped, and are not dead. So while "solution" might be a nefarious concept to purists, things function far better AFTER dilution, then before it. So yes, it is working. Will the Pacific ever be the same? Maybe not. But it hasn't been the same since humans began industrial whaling there in the 19th century. This is just one more step along the path of our effect on our planet.
