Hackers Trace Isis Accounts to Dept of Works
Not as revelatory as the headline makes it sound.
Did they program free will into "her" or is she just a soft target for brainwashing?
With the arrival of Peak Oil, the curtain has closed on Act 1 of the drama Petroleum Man. What will happen in Act 2? Chekhov said, "If there's a gun on the wall at the beginning of the play, by the end it must go off." In the world's nuclear arsenal are many guns on the wall. If life copies art, will there be an Act 3 in which the players, having learned their lesson the hard way, live sustainably? To explore these and other questions... FTW's Act 2 Blog. Jenna, is there any particular reason why the news you post is unidirectionally biased?
ditto re your comments. I hope someone pays you well for them, btw.
Peak oil began as a professional interest in 2005. It lasted 6 months, the amount of time required to understand not only the number of times the ideas had been recycled, but to then move my interest off into the realm of hobby. So no, no one pays me.
But the question was genuine, even if you would prefer not to recognize the truth in it.
Do you believe that the only news worth posting is always slanted towards the pessimism that seems to define the neo-malthusian perspective? Do you really see no good in the world of man? And you believe this while living in a city that is a shining example of the successes of your species, rather than moving off to where those who claim sustainability dwell?
Do you really see no good in the world of man?
to the contrary.
Oh, I see all sorts of good in the world of man. Uni-directional news bias does not happen by accident, and the question isn't why I created that type of bias..but you.
so there. harrumph.
