With the arrival of Peak Oil, the curtain has closed on Act 1 of the drama Petroleum Man. What will happen in Act 2? Chekhov said, "If there's a gun on the wall at the beginning of the play, by the end it must go off." In the world's nuclear arsenal are many guns on the wall. If life copies art, will there be an Act 3 in which the players, having learned their lesson the hard way, live sustainably? To explore these and other questions... FTW's Act 2 Blog. Read, comment, take heart! Orkin

Peak oil blog....and where might the peak oil news be? I mean, besides the obvious current conditions of the ongoing glut.
What say you Jenna, would Mike be screaming that gas prices are a conspiracy right now (18 months into the current glut), or would the reality of every gasoline buying consumer knowing his peak oil claims and research were a crock finally sink in?
congrats on your persistence
What persistence? Persistence was my first big publication about a decade back, and throwing it out after a year and 40,000 words because it had revealed a better story along the voyage of discovery. Light reading and scanning through the news aggregation services freely provided by folks like you isn't persistence, just habit. But it is interesting to note that in so doing, it might prove that I am the only one reading through the blog (peak oil blog without much peak oil) and actually interested in it!
