  1. No UFOs at Area 51!? That's got to be some of the most disappointing news I've heard in a long time. Like many others, I'd been hoping that the US had reverse-engineered alien "free-energy" technology that would save us.

reading the link in that piece to the original article...http://www.greenfaucet.com/technical-analysis/america-and-the-next-major-war/79314

"Adding yet further fuel to the controversy, the U.S. Treasury Department is expected to issue a report in April that may formally label China as a "currency manipulator," according to the latest issue of Barron's."

First thought was pot calling the kettle black, but seriously do they really want to open that can o worms considering the recent PM shenanigans?

  3. RE: 28 Leading Wall Street Gurus Break Ranks

What leading Wall Street Gurus? That article was by someone called Anonymous (Editor), who claimed some kind of track record (?) predicting collapses. The "(More)" at the end of the page led nowhere.

That Before It Is News site is worse than Business Insider.

  4. RE: People in Niger Heading Toward Capital in Search of Food

It's probably true, but I'd like to point out that the source was Voice of America, and the conclusion of the article was that elections would likely be postponed.

A coup in February just happened to occur at the moment a Congressional delegation reached the capital of Niger. Although it may be a coincidence (How was the CIA to know that a uranium rich country was about to freak out?), it is even stranger that, while the UN condemned the coup, and the African Union expelled Niger, the U.S. suggested that it was the president's own fault for seeking another term. Coincidentally, Niger has 6% of the world's uranium reserves (and almost nothing else).

So, not saying that there's no starvation in the Sahel. But the conclusion that massive foreign aid should go to a new military government, in the absence of planned elections, sits strangely on this skeptical head. An article by Global Research (sometimes great, sometimes not so great) can be found
    here

  5. Another clue, from the Tuareg article (p. 3):

"President Mamadou Tandja, who was ousted in a military coup in mid-February, had threatened to sell his yellowcake to Iran. The man is now gone, but his idea remains, triggering fears in the West."

    Oh.

Nah, Area 51 was an "All American" operation. The free energy you seek happened when Von Brauns' V2 propelled Explorer 1 to an orbit 600 miles more than expected !

  9. Many recent postings have wondered when people will start to wake up. This time, the fact that the Precious metals markets are a scam is supposed to shock investors out of their sleep. Don't hold your breath. I think many investors already know and continue to play the game anyway. Like going to a casino, you know the odds are stacked against you, but you hope to be the exception and win. Besides, once you acknowldge to yourself the game is rigged, it stops being fun. I've been victim to this mentality myself.

Sometimes this blog feels like a death watch. Surely this gold price fixing will be the death of the patient, but really, GATA has been screaming about this for years to no avail and still the patient clings to life. Bailouts, scandals, oppressive new laws, each one seems to inch our dear beloved closer to the death rattle signifying the shedding of its mortal coil. Alas, the patient draws another breath. Ultimately, the patient will die, and I think that time is near, but I've felt this way a long time.

Perhaps Kunstler should have coined "The long, painfully slow, death" instead of "The long emergency".

  10. Lastly for today. Welcome to our blog EL-mo!! You bring a delightful new freshness to our community. You aren't as belligerent as NBPAtton, or as insightful as F.Kamilov, both of whom I miss as they brought unique ideas to the blog, but you do stir things up. Sometimes you are quite witty and insightful. At other times, I can't tell if you are painfully stupid or just yanking our chain. Either way, glad you are hear.

And to those of you that watch from the sidelines, don't be shy. If you read here long enough, you'll know that none of us are going to replace Einstein or Shakespeare any time soon. Give your thoughts a voice.

I think many recent news articles might make rereading the Russian analysts article on the U.S. igniting into civil war worth a second look. Maybe not....

  12. Google is now preparing to leave China as a result of this company’s stubborn refusal to obey Chinese laws. Google is in effect demanding extraterritoriality and immunity to the legal norms of the host nation, a claim which goes back to the unequal treaties imposed by foreign imperialists, notably the British, on China starting in the 19th century. It is not surprising that the Chinese response to this arrogant interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state has been stern.

We must also recall that Google was founded with the help of the US intelligence community, and is now acting as a virtual arm of the US National Security Agency, the electronic espionage department of the US government. Google-NSA’s arrogance and hypocrisy are unbearable, especially when we bear in mind the countless times that Google search engines have been used to suppress exposés of the US governments false flag operations, most notably 9/11, and other sensitive topics.

There are two sides to the conflict between Google-NSA and China. One is the Great Cyberwall erected by the Chinese government against attempts by the US-UK to capitalize on ethnic and social tensions inside China to launch a color revolution, CIA people power coup, or postmodern putsch. The other aspect is Google’s claim that hackers working for the Chinese government raided Google’s e-mail servers. The second charge has been formally denied by the Chinese.

Even as Google prepares to shut down its Chinese operations, something larger and more sinister is looming. The US Wall Street-controlled media are gearing up to educate the public about imminent cyberwarfare and cyber-conflict. We can sense that Andrew Marshall, the Pentagon’s infamous octogenarian Yoda of the Office of Net Assessment, is playing a key role behind the scenes. This effort was formally launched in May 2009 by none other than Obama, who announced a buildup of US cyberwar assets, illustrating his project with the claim that his own campaign websites had been hacked during the 2008 campaign, prompting him to seek the assistance of FBI, CIA, NSA and the rest.

One highlight of this US propaganda campaign has been a two-hour docudrama special recently repeated several times on CNN on Feb. 20-21, simulating a massive cyber attack on the United States, starting with cell phones and then taking over into computers.[1] The impact of this attack is to shut down telephone communications, followed by airports and rail services, and finally to knock out most of the US electrical power grid, causing panic and chaos. The simulation is presented in the form of a meeting of the National Security Council while the US is under attack. Several protagonists of the 9/11 cover-up were among the starring players, including Jamie Gorelick (playing the US Attorney General), John Negroponte (playing the Secretary of State), and Continue reading US Readies Cyberwar, Virtual Flag Terrorism

  15. PeakedOut...Your comment about investors knowing that the market is a scam, but still want to play the game anyway, reminds me of something that I actually experienced...

About 15 years ago I was at a sports memorabilia convention, and I was talking with one of the dealers there about all of the problems in the industry around forged autographs. The dealer then told me, "There are dealers here who when someone will come up to them and ask them if they have a player like Babe Ruth's autograph will tell them, 'No, but if you come back in about an hour I'll have one for you.' The buyer knows that the dealer is going to sell them a fake autograph, but they don't really care. They're just so excited that they'll be walking away with Babe Ruth's autograph in their hands."

You're in a tough spot. Neither R nor D can help you with your confusion other than to say slow down, reassess your situation, know that existence came into existence not to make people suffer for their ignorance but to have every single one of us overcome our ignorance by coming into fully conscious compliance with the fact that
the entirety of existence is here to serve us in reciprocity with our fully conscious recognition of need to correspondingly serve existence.

Take it from there and do with it what you will. We can do no more to help you.

And to answer your question about my intelligence... I submit to you, and to all others that, indeed, I am painfully stupid! For even though I am able to clearly see with my own two eyes that ain't nobody getting out of this mess alive; I keep holding out in glorious anticipation of actually meeting that one other person on this planet who is able to understand that fact! I just figured this would be as good a place to look as any other.

  23. Wooo... GeoPol, you're interesting.

I sense that you dismiss Google's claims against China, but endorse China's against Google.

Scientia est Potentia (Knowledge is Power) is the motto of DARPA's Inforrmation Awareness Office. It's a truism too true to even argue about. The Chinese are aware of this, and Google is aware of this, and the CIA is aware of this, and we should be too.

Of COURSE there's a cyber-war going on. Every variable on this planet is contended for: the Arctic, the Mideast oil, the trees of Sumatra, the fish in the sea. Outrage is misplaced. It's just the way things are.

Not that it matters much what you or I think about an international cyber-war (unless you're an ace hacker - I'm not), but in judging the Google vs. China dispute, one side represents the ability of all people to access a wide array of information, whereas the other is trying to restrict the information people can acquire.

Yes, it's true that acquiring information does lead to personal and regional empowerment, but is that a bad thing?

It's a very important point. If you embrace the authoritarian mega-state as the best way to shepherd the billions through this coming time, then go with China. They're a model for North America and Europe, whose central governments would very much like to restrict the information their people get.

Democracy has always been about enduring the crazies or the other camp or whatever ideology you can't stand, so that you are free to promote your own. It may be true that we can't afford this any more. But that is a very serious step, philosophically, with many grave implications. Be sure you are ready to embrace these implications.

  24. Perhaps Kunstler should have coined "The long, painfully slow, death" instead of "The long emergency".

    Ha HA! I like it.

But remember, though it seems like death of everything, it probably aint. The likelihood of confused and bumbling humans being on the planet in fifty years is pretty high. Probably not as many. If we can deal with the nuclear issue before humans cease to be able, the biosphere may recover over time.

I like Ran Prieur's assessment of the Slow Crash:

In 30 years, we'll be living in boxcars and eating grass, wondering when the crash will come.

  25. @eyeballs

"The likelihood of confused and bumbling humans being on the planet in fifty years is pretty high."

You know... One of the BIG problems with there being "confused and bumbling" humans on this planet is that they are also the ones with all the "nuclear issues". Why do you think I'm so insistent that we're never getting out of this mess?

  27. Re Terreblanche, of the many MSM stories that came out yesterday, not one mentioned the murder of 4,000 White farmers in SA since 1994. If the skin colour of these hate crimes were reversed there would be international outrage.

1950: 24 percent of global total
2010: 10 percent of global total
2100: projected two percent of global total

The 2100 projection is, of course, minus a Post-Peak Oil scenario/die-off. If you were a globalist nabob, peering into the same future that we see, would your preference not be for a dumbed-down, docile serf population? Chossudovsky has hit the nail sideways. A more direct hit would identify what the racial composition of the global serf population will be.

Europe may very well be lost. Global corporatism changed allegiance to the Ummah in the mid-seventies. Oddly enough, access to oil for the Europeans was one of the chips on the table. NAmerica is in the balance; 2010 will likely be the first census year that non-White births outnumber White births in the US. The legalization of 16 million illegals translates into 16 million Dem votes. White genocide is in play. Take a close look at the map...if you dare. Or shall we pull up Black-on-White rape stats?

The political notion of White Nationalism makes White liberals squirm. Why? Because at a very deep, deep subconscious level in their guts they "know", i.e. intuit, that they are liars and hypocrites, that they are lackeys being played like old fiddles. Their discomfort is an asset. Liberal guilt entails White guilt.

Such perception requires not the least iota of hatred. Such is the liberal, knee-jerk reaction/finger-pointing. The only thing required is clear perception. Anti-racist is the new, PC code for anti-White. Clear perception is a horrid responsibility. One need not like it, nor even agree with it. But at some point one will have to accept it. Qualifier: some will accept it, most will not.

With apologies to V. Lenin: Is there a greater useful idiot than the White liberal?

PPO die-off is a friend. Who lays claim to imagination, creativity, initiative, endurance, courage, honour, merit? The PPO Götterdämmerung
comes. Pray for it. It is our only salvation. If you are not prepared or ill prepared, you will die, quite possibly under the blows of a machete while you sleep.

Ja, I see. But maybe not. That's all. I think it was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but maybe another movie. Two guys ready to jump a huge cliff, with the bad guys after em.

"I bet we can make it."

    "I bet we can't!"

"Where do I send the money if you win?"

I never expected to make it to 50. Persistent recurring thought: I might see 70, weird as it all is. Anyway, I live as though I WILL wake up tomorrow, meaning I'll have to deal with whatever I did today.

If there's one percent chance of things going half-right, aint it still the place to add your shoulder? Wouldn't it be a wonder, to be still standing and not ashamed of what you'd done to be there, when the initial smoke begins to clear? Never mind if Life's still uncertain, if there's still hope when you're old, and you did your best, maybe we'll clap hands and have a good ol' laugh.

Right wing? Off the map, FYI, as it will need to be in a PPO world. It is called "Archeofuturism." Post-Green is a more pedestrian label. Might you be able to name a period in history that was steeped in hurt and deprivation and liberal? The liberal era is dead. How could it not be? It has been the philosophical cloak of the industrial era.
