ReplyDeleteWe had no idea that any of this was here, we swear!
Food for thought.
ReplyDeleteI was at a Costco today in Southern Cal. It's been 1 month since I've made my last visit and today was pretty shocking.
There was a very 'limited' amount of fruits and vegetables. The prices overall have risen by 15 to 20% while they cut the amount of the produce you get in half. The quality was subpar as well.
Strawberries, Tomatoes, Avocado, Lime & Lemon from Mexico, Grapes from Chile, Cherries from Peru. All of a sudden I was wondering what happened to all the fruits and vegetables that California produces????
I do see a lot less of selection in all the fresh produces as well.
Not sure if anyone else sees this around the country. Would be interesting to know.
Southern Cal according to Mike has only a 4 day food supply.

BTW, CIA Officers aren't "moonlighting" on Wall Street. No, they're just being called in from the field offices in Langley and NY City so that they can more quickly solve the problems of the people they work for.

Lift-it-up
ReplyDeleteIn your experience, does California produce strawberries in January? If you want to eat local, you should have been storing roots and apples in barrels under your house, and canned fruit on the shelves. You could have dried strawberries last summer, and eaten them with (stored) oats over the winter.
Something to think about this harvest season, in case Chile stops sending stuff next winter.
We've had a succession of MSM come out on the sceptic side of AGW in the last few days (at last), and now The Sun (mainstream tabloid) is out right calling it a con

The Times seems to have been getting more sceptical over the last few months too. Nice how none of the MSM credited any of the blogging community who really broke this.
I'm wondering why Mr. Murdoch has switched sides, wondering if the carbon traders are trying to cut some fraction out of the deal, and weather it has anything to do with that Goldman Vs JPM thing - It would be nice to think various fractions of TPTB are infighting, but on the other hand, I still think this is all planned in infinitesimal detail, they've been at it for so many years.
