FUNDRAISING NOTICE -- LEGAL DEFENSE FUND

As of Oct. 3, 2009 my rent for the month is covered and I have enough to live on until November. These monies were mailed prior to my appeal for a legal defense fund. It is too soon to tell how much is coming but we'll need an estimated $15,000 - $25,000 total. If you wish to contribute to my legal defense fund please make the checks payable to: The Michael C. Ruppert LEGAL DEFENSE FUND. We should have the necesaary paperwork done and an account opened within seven days. Any donations not marked as intended may be assumed to be personal donations. I request that further personal donations or legal defense funds marked as appropriate to keep the donations separate and applied as intended.

Thank you so much to all of you who have sent in money to keep me going. We can and will win this appeal.

  1. Greetings, Michael.

Just an idea - Jane Burgermeister has on her site a link for donations on a PayPal account, wich is more convenient for us (non-US citizens) who live in EU.

Probably by mail to the P.O. Box. We have not got an account number yet which would allow a wire transfer.

  4. I still don't understand why you feel the need to have some judge rule in your favor to feel vindicated or exonerated.

The way I see it, by doing so, you recognize the illegtimate authority of those than run this corrupt government (who, by the way, did in fact flood our streets with crack cocaine or at least allowed others to do so, and possibly had something to do with the attacks on 9-11).

I gave up a long time ago on our government doing the right thing, perhaps due to my experience on the other side of the fence (I was a marijuana smuggler and resident of our federal penal system in a former life and therefore lost any illusion I may once have owned that justice comes out of our system).

Why don't you post a detailed account of what happened and be done with it, being sure to include any personal transgressions you may have committed?

It isn't like there's anyone out here righteous enough to throw a stone.

  5. Towards Hyperinflation
A review of the gold market in the context of Western hyperinflation

    quote

IT's the comfortably off middle-classes who get destroyed by hyperinflation. They tend to continue trusting the institutions they have trusted all their lives, and by the time they grasp what is happening it is too late.

    unquote

Economics is not my strong subject, but I understood this paper. Argues that hyperinflation is probable, and if you have any savings you should be thinking about how to preserve them. Note that this is taken from a traditional viewpoint and not in a “Collapse” context - it is therefore only one thread of the total tapestry. Interesting and illuminating none the less.

  6. Mike

there is an additional complication for foreign donations - how to convert from the donor's currency to US dollars. Most banks here charge an extortionate fee to produce a $ money order that could be mailed and that you could bank.

Paypal gets around this - but they take a cut, and there is the admin hassle of setting it all up. At a time when I bet you have plenty of other things to keep you busy!

    Any suggestions anyone?

    Namaste

  7. Hi Michael,
I don't know what's going on with you legally as I've been busy with my investigation, but whatever it is, I hope it works out for you.
I stopped by here because I thought you would want to know the news about the case- Sat 09/26/09 Jimmy Hughes was arrested for my dad's, Fred's, and Patty's murder. 3 counts of 1st degree murder, 1 count conspiracy to commit murder. He was trying to get to Honduras but was arrested before the plane took off.

  8. The demise of the dollar

    quote

In a graphic illustration of the new world order, Arab states have launched secret moves with China, Russia and France to stop using the US currency for oil trading

Sun Bigan, China's former special envoy to the Middle East, has warned there is a risk of deepening divisions between China and the US over influence and oil in the Middle East. "Bilateral quarrels and clashes are unavoidable," he told the Asia and Africa Review. "We cannot lower vigilance against hostility in the Middle East over energy interests and security."

Russia, China, France and multiple Arab states are going to drop the dollar for oil trade.

    Right again, Mike.

  11. We're working hard to establish a direct Paypal account so that so many of you who want to send money from overseas can do that. Sorry for any delays here. We just are doing a lot of things quickly and need to be sure that everything is correct and proper.

    Will keep you posted.

  12. CPC may use various currencies

State-run CPC Corp, Taiwan (CPC, 台灣中油) said it was studying whether to use a basket of currencies to pay for crude oil purchases.

“Our finance department is studying where to use a variety of currencies, including the yen, the euro and the dollar, for crude oil trade, compared with only the dollar now,” CPC vice president Lin Maw-wen (林茂文) said in a telephone interview yesterday. “Our purchases are relatively small, so we’ll just follow the trend.”

Criticism of the US dollar’s role as the world’s main reserve currency has grown in the wake of the global financial crisis. Formosa Petrochemical Corp (台塑石化), CPC’s smaller rival, has been using euros and yen to pay for crude oil purchases from Iran, Lin Keh-yen (林克彥), a spokesman for the Taiwanese refiner, said by telephone.

  15. It seems that we have talked enough about the modalities of the Collapse, and that now the saga is actually beginning - timed as it is with the premiere of Michael's "CoLLapse"!

The sudden hype about the petroleum/dollar business reflects some deep stirrings soon to surface. People are now talking about the showcase US states of California and Florida failing - the Golden and Sunshine States, respectively.

And meanwhile, in a little considered yet most crucial corner of the US Imperium, the crumbling neocolonial apparatus known as Pakistan - another final drama is raging: about the "Kerry-Lugar" Bill, enacted a few days ago by the US Senate and proposed by Senators John Kerry and Richard Lugar - which will stipulate the nature of future relations of the US with its Pakistani stooge (as if there is indeed a “future” for these two), and lay down conditions for giving aid to the naughty and delinquent crony elite proteges who rule the decaying corpse of Pakistan’s society. “Indignant” debate is raging in at all levels of this society, about how this Bill “infringes” Pakistani “sovereignty”, but as the simple adage goes: “Beggars can’t be choosers”, and who ever said that beggars have, or can claim, “sovereignty”?? For God’s sake!! Till now one thought that lies and nonsense, when they need telling – should be embellished with some panache at least… The Kerry-Lugar debate outcome is predictable, but it would be interesting for you folks living over there right in the centre of the imperial cyclone, to keep tabs on how this latest – and perhaps, last – drama of shamelessness plays out. Peruse the latest offering in this regard:

  17. Hi, Rachel!

I was wondering what was going on with your dad's case. Good work!

I hope you can now enjoy morning's first light with a smile on your face :)

  18. Thanks Jenna and Gustav-
Jenna can you pass this onto Michael? I'm sure he would love to hear this info.
Gustav- The investigation is ongoing- still lots of work to be done. :)
What is going on with this legal defense fund stuff anyway? What happened? I know some will say "go read up on it" but I seriously don't have time right now with the arrest, investigation, all the hate mail from Honduras, media etc.
