I have little argument with what is posted here, RandD sometimes writes at a level above other posters, I try to post at a level anyone can understand, which can seem too general or simplistic, I am not a missionary.
I will not direct you to the "right" GOD, or salvation--Just a little compassion for others, even those we disagree with, dislike, And suppose will not survive, let alone be "Saved". I follow the map drawn in 1 John, I will save the Scorpion

I, being a follower of Christ, ask you; if/when you meet your god, will he/she shake your hand,
how do you visualize them, will they excuse themselves when they pass gas?

Come on; My God; the foundation, the start/completion of everything is more than I dare think about! If you were to "inspire" someone/any writing, would you say something factual--Or
something which would interest your audience, inspire them, give them hope, in words which they relate to, wherever they are. Would they do crazy, brutal things? Of course,
they are just primitive specks which take century's to recognize the effect they have on anything around them, pointing at someone/thing as the cause.
Why would a "just GOD" allow---etc, etc; why was that allowed, why weren't they/it saved?
Look around you, reflect on the broad scope of the Universe!!

Does this story add a useful time dimension to the road map?

    http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=WEN20090602&articleId=13826

Are there any lawyers out there, or clients with cases in litigation, who can say whether insurance companies have been more reluctant to settle in light of the economic crisi? Is there any sense that juries are more tightfisted, or open?

I ask the questions out of self-interest and to test my intuitive sense that the civil justice system in the U.S. will collapse with the rest of the present economy.

  9. What a coincidence. Several cities have just completed “Dirty Bomb” exercises including one in Albany NY yesterday. Gee I hope something doesn’t happen while Obama is reading My Pet Goat while on his Middle Eastern and European trip.

“U.S. Releases Secret List of Nuclear Sites Accidentally
The federal government mistakenly made public a 266-page report, its pages marked “highly confidential,” that gives detailed information about hundreds of the nation’s civilian nuclear sites and programs, including maps showing the precise locations of stockpiles of fuel for nuclear weapons.
The publication of the document was revealed Monday in an online newsletter devoted to issues of federal secrecy. That set off a debate among nuclear experts about what dangers, if any, the disclosures posed. It also prompted a flurry of investigations in Washington into why the document had been made public…”
“…President Obama sent the document to Congress on May 5 for Congressional review and possible revision, and the Government Printing Office subsequently posted the draft declaration on its Web site…”
“…In his letter of transmittal to Congress, Mr. Obama characterized the information as “sensitive but unclassified” and said all the information that the United States gathered to comply with the advanced protocol “shall be exempt from disclosure” under the Freedom of Information Act.
The report details the locations of hundreds of nuclear sites and activities. Each page is marked across the top “Highly Confidential Safeguards Sensitive” in capital letters,”

Diaspora: What does a dirty bomb exercise involve? Does having one in your city increase the likelihood one will occur there? The one you mention was in my neck of the woods.

    ReplyDelete
  12. To cj: A Full-scale Exercise is the most involved of the 6 emergency management training activities, where a real-life emergency situation is replicated to be as close to an actual incident as possible. The players in an exercise include company emergency response personnel, employees, management and community response organizations. Any exercise tests the ability of the emergency support functions (esf) and other signatories to the National Response Plan to coordinate response activities. “Empire 09”, the dirty bomb exercise in Albany, involves 2 dirty bombs going off within blocks of each other in downtown Albany. I have no inside knowledge of this exercise other than the releases issued to the press. http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=806113

Obviously, I can’t say whether this training exercise increases the chances that a dirty bomb incident will take place in New York but if you look to the past you can sometimes get an inkling as to what might happen in the future. Increasingly these exercises involve International response as opposed to National response (even though they still refer to them as such) as will be the case in July. “This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09.”

I’ve become a bit of a coincidence theorist (a conspiracy theorist with out the tin foil hat). The unraveling continues at break neck pace and my gut tells me we’re going to have another “Coincidence” in the not so distant future. To the uninitiated I highly recommend “Crossing the Rubicon”. Short of that a search of past terrorist acts is a good place to start.
“On the morning of September 11 2001, within minutes of the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, the CIA had been running "a pre-planned simulation to explore the emergency response issues that would be created if a plane were to strike a building". The simulation was held at the CIA Chantilly Virginia Reconnaissance Office. The Bush administration described the event as "a bizarre coincidence". The matter was not mentioned by the media.” (AP, 22 August 2002) http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=821
“A fictional ‘scenario’ of multiple bomb attacks on London's underground took place at exactly the same time as the bomb attack on July 7, 2005…Rudolph Giuliani…so closely identified with his city's recovery after the Sept. 11 attacks, was in London Thursday morning, just yards from Liverpool Street…station, when the bombs went off.”

  13. Diaspora, re "I’ve become a bit of a coincidence theorist (a conspiracy theorist with out the tin foil hat)."

I keep two standard responses in my back pocket to counter those with, let us say, a more linear perspective on things.

    1. Conspriracy theory is no longer a theory, is it?

    2. It's okay if you call me a conspriacy theorist just as long as you call yourserlf a coincidence theorist.

    Your mileage may differ.

    Diaspora:

Thank you for your information about the dirty bomb exercises. I am of the same mindset as you when it comes to coincidences anymore, and have become increasingly convinced that large cities are to be avoided at all costs. Unfortunately, I still work in one, so if something comes down in my area, I hope it occur be on my day off. Am looking for a nice off-the-beaten path place to relocate to but with all the suspicions of what is to come and information floating around, it is difficult to determine exactly where the best would be. What with a failing economy, global warming, droughts, rising sea level, pollution, travel more difficult due to upcoming fuel shortages, etc., one doesn't know whether to run to the right, left or stay put.

She is a colleague of MCR and her “Speaking Truth to Power” website offers many thoughtful postings by some of the best (MCR included). Last year Baker wrote about the process she went through in determining whether to stay or go and the criterion she employed to arrive at her decision and new location.
