Here’s another video clip of Charles Biderman on Bloomberg just a few weeks ago. In here he discusses how what’s driving the stock market appears to be the purchase of futures in the after hours after the market closes, and again he reiterates that with the amount of money that’s involved here, he believes that it’s the government doing the purchasing. In addition, he also discusses what could happen if and when the purchasing stops.

The people’s lips and the audio are not in sync within this video, so just imagine you're watching an old Japanese movie with English subtitles here:

FWIW I've not traded since 02, there was a lot of suspicion even back then, from both sides of the pond.

"It's not beyond the bounds of possibilities that the government has been buying S & P 500 futures with the connivance of the major banks in receipt of bailout funds. The report quotes former Fed board member Robert Heller who opined in the Wall Street Journal in 1989, "Instead of flooding the entire economy with liquidity, and thereby increasing the danger of inflation, the Fed could support the stock market directly by buying market averages in the futures market, thereby stabilizing the market as a whole." In a Financial Times article in 2002, an unidentified Fed official was quoted as acknowledging that policymakers had considered buying U.S. equities directly, not just futures. The official mentioned that the Fed could "theoretically buy anything to pump money into the system." In an article in the Daily Telegraph in 2006, former Clinton administration official George Stephanopoulos mentioned the existence of "an informal agreement among the major banks to come in and start to buy stock if there appears to be a problem."

When they decide to sell off, there might be signs of massive hedging in the forex markets, it'd be a sure bet to get some money back and prop the $$ - seems to be some serious shorts around EU bonds atm too.

Carl Johan Calleman and his writings have been very useful for this time. This is the end of the world as we "knew it" and that world is never coming back (thankfully). During this time of the "fall" a new world is being birthed right under our noses but much like sprouts before they break ground - it is impossible to see. I remain heartbroken that people are not waking up but that is their path and it must be honored. We, as a species, are evolving and it hurts but it is happening. The 100th monkey is the best way of thinking positively because the new world we currently live in, we are creating ourselves as I write this...the one thing that will not change is the Fall. And we are smack dab in it. Godspeed everyone. May you find your "family" (whoever they are...they don't have to be blood) and your water and your garden. As the Hopi say "This could be a good time." As we all know, it is not going to be easy. Birthing a new Earth and way of life is painful but necessary.

Camouflage, We no longer feel heartbroken over those who do not wake up; as you say, their path must be honored. We see the eternal process of Life rebirthing itself into ever newer and grander states being fundamental to Life's nature; and our species' unique ability to see & know that it is this way is but one of Life's greatest gifts to human kind.

Thankyou for sharing your words with us; family members coming to know of each other heals & strengthens us all.
